We first met Albert Cooley in 2004, when he was 10 years old and halfway through his cancer treatment.  Then he came back to see us for the Radiothon after he finished treatment and rang the bell; he spent the morning in the phone bank, answering phones and encouraging people to call in and donate to help kids just like him.

Albert had another milestone this week and we were honored to be there as he graduated from Spanish Fort High School!  His next step is pursuing his love of culinary arts. 

This is what it’s all about….helping sick kids get better and grow up and pursue their dreams.  This is why we love helping USA Children’s & Women’s Hospital …and lots of kids like Albert.

As part of National Pancake Day, IHOP will be offering a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes next week, on Tuesday, February 5 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. In return, diners will be asked to leave a voluntary donation to support the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals programs at the University of South Alabama Children's and Women's Hospital.

College football players from Kent State and Arkansas State set aside their gridiron differences and came together at USA Children’s & Women’s Hospital on Jan. 3 to visit young patients on the hospital’s pediatric floors.  The players were participants in the annual GoDaddy.com Bowl held in Mobile on Jan. 6. 

Handing out teddy bears and footballs to their newest fans, the players and patients alike thoroughly enjoyed the annual visit, which is part of the hospital’s ongoing “distraction therapy” for pediatric patients.

It's time for the 14th year of our Radiothon for Kids, to benefit the USA Children's & Women's Hospital. Our presenting sponsor is Spring Hill Toyota.

The radiothon will take place Thursday and Friday (November 15th & 16th) 6AM until 7PM. We'll start each day in our Lite Mix 99.9 studios, but then we're heading out to Sam's Club:
