Travel should take you places... it took me to Hawai'i last year. Beautiful!

A new Wall Street Journal article suggests that an Alabama football dynasty has its price. They say some fans are getting bored with all that dominant success. Now, nobody is seriously suggesting that 'Bama fans are bored with winning, but winning by 30 can be less than dramatic.
Certainly, there are signs. The Crimson White reported that 30% of student tickets went unused last year. The ticket office was offering all kinds of perks to get people to buy up the remaining Western Carolina tickets. And this year, a couple of lesser games on the schedule also have seats available.
The Crimson Tide have two games on the 2013 schedule that everyone is looking to as make or break: LSU and Texas A&M. And the Iron Bowl is usually interesting. But this year, Auburn is rebuilding. The Tide's other main rival -- Tennessee -- is also rebuilding. Still, by making and winning the SEC Championship Game, Alabama will deserve to be in the BCS National Title Game (and probably will be).
For us, the word to describe Alabama football isn't boredom -- it's still fun to watch. Predictible might be a better word. Most games will be blow-outs. so a better question might be: would you enjoy yourself more if 'Bama played more big games, more competive games?
