Florida and Alabama both have sales tax holidays this year, and each is different from the other. If you want a computer, your best bet is to buy in Alabama. That's the only state that'll let you go tax free on this big ticket item. If you want books, Florida will not let you buy books tax free; again, advantage to Alabama.
This year, the tax holidays are on the same weekend in each state, Friday 8/3 - Sunday 8/5. (Mississippi's is Fri 7/27 and Sat 7/28, again with a different list of what's included). Click on the name of each state below for more complete information.
